Simon Naidu, a 24-year-old from Hampshire Village, Corentyne Berbice, has been passionate about music for the past eight years. His journey began in temples, where he first discovered his love for singing. Simon’s dedication to music paid off when he won the Best Male Singer award at the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha in 2013. Two years ago, inspired by the late Anil Bheem, Simon shifted his focus to Chutney music, which he now pursues with great enthusiasm.

This year, Simon is gearing up for a new challenge, as he prepares to compete in the Chutney Monarch for the first time. He will be the only artiste from Region No6 participating at the prestigious event, which will be held at Classic Parking Lot, Skeldon, Region No6, on February 16, 2025.
